Curio : The Beginning

Curio started as a brainstorm one day on a front porch in the Northside Empire.

A few friends were discussing the oddities laying about the house, oddities like skulls, gas masks, dead and immortalized butterflies, tarantulas. They came to the realization that their house was actually a museum, and decided to share these curiosities with the rest of Richmond. Then they started discussing things that you couldn't find in Richmond - things like Metropolis Records, non-commercialized pagan supplies, natural incenses, hand mixed whole teas, orchids and exotic plants. Then they came to realize the need for more art in Richmond - hence the local artist exhibitions. Curio maintains a revoling gallery of local artists' work on display for appreciation (and for sale). Come by and check out the shop, Curio has an incredibly diverse and constantly evolving stock, they buy local and handmade whenever possible, and they pride themselves on bringing things to Richmond that you just won't find anywhere else in the city, possibly even the region.
