Description
Electroforming is an electrochemical process where copper is dissolved from one object and deposited on another. I source my copper “donor” materials from a plumbing company, so their waste product is actually recycled into my pieces.
This piece has been plated a second time with pure silver. It has been coated with jeweler’s wax to preserve it’s shine, but may need to be polished occasionally. Like all my pieces, the finish will change with time, and if exposed to heavy wear, the silver may begin to wear off, showing the copper beneath.
